What is the difference between roller chain Series A and Series B?

Precision roller chain is divided into A, B two series.

A series is in line with the American standard: B series is in line with the European (mainly British)

standard, except the same pitch size, they do have their own characteristics, their main difference is:

1. The thickness of the inner plate and the outer plate of A series is equal, and the equal strength

effect of static strength is obtained through different debugging. The inner chain plate and outer chain plate of B series

are adjusted equally, and the equal strength effect of static strength is obtained through different swings;

2, The main size of each component of the A series has a certain proportion to the pitch. Such as: pin diameter = (5/16) P,

roller diameter = (5/8) P, chain plate thickness = (1/8) P, etc. (P is the chain pitch). There is no obvious proportion between

 the main size and pitch of B series parts;

3, On both sides of A series is sprockets plate; One side of the B series is a drive wheel with sprockets with hub, there is

a keyway and a screw hole.
